Well folks, I am very pleased and proud to announce that Anglo-American Custom Cycle Ltd (www.4HD.net) is the FIRST UK member of The International Master Bike Builders Association (IMBBA)
This is indeed an honour to be a part of an organisation that strives to give independant custom bike builders recognised credentials.
Unlike the Big firms like H-D, there is no way to check on the skills, qualifications and reputation of a bike builder other than word of mouth or their own websites. The IMBBA provides a certification track from Mechanic through to Master Bike Builder and believe me, the coursework is no walk in the park. This is a huge step forward without having to suffer the regulations that Government approved schemes force upon small builders.

Two weeks ago I attended the launch of the 2009 Poppy Appeal at Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire.
The day was wet and miserable for the most part, but Chennel 4 Racing filmed the group of 30 riders arriving at the event and several times throughout the day, they replayed the grand entrance on the big screen at the racecourse.
We had loads of visitors to the Legion Riders stand, managed to sign up a few new members and collected donations.
At our RBLR branch meeting last night, we found out that we had raised over £4500 on the day and more donations were coming in via the legion riders website.
It seems that the rain didn't dampen the spirits of those attending the races that day and that despite the recession, the British people are still willing to dig deep and support our Veterans.
A huge thanks to anyone reading this that attended on the day and as a side note, if anyone is interested in joining The Royal British Legion Riders (Branch 3542) please let me know.
You do NOT need to have served in the Armed Forces, you don't even have to ride a motorcycle and we DO accept members from overseas.
We are associated with The American Legion Riders and the Canadian Legion Riders too and exchange visits are planned as well as Sturgis and Daytona runs.
