It was a really good day. The weather was sooooo hot and there was so little shade (sounds like the Chip lol)
We have visitors from all walks of life and even had a Major General come over to speak to us.
But nothing can compare to the old boy, Ex Berkshire regiment of 1940 who came over and asked if he could sit of Terry's trike for a while.
Of course no one objected and we threw the children that had been climbing on and off the trike off and let the old gentleman sit.
He called us all around him and very quietly said "I just want to thank you personally for everything you do for our soldiers. I have seen you all on TV at Wooton Bassett on the repatriation flights, especially this blue trike, and it is my honour to meet all of you and thank you for everything"
Well there wasn't a dry eye in the house I can tell you and it certainly brought home the reasons why we all give our time for this most worthy cause
