Went see "Inception" last night, Leonardo Decaprio's latest film..and boy what a film..it was at least 2/3 of the way through before I worked out what was going on...should be the top of the list for those who like to have to pay attention and think..a true mind bender..should do well at the OSCARS!!

Guns mentioned going to see it when it reaches us but, if I'm right it is along the science fiction line, and I don't do SciFi although I do keep an open mind. Can't stand The Matrix etc. but I do like films that make you think.
OSCARs - do I detect a hint of sarcasm lol

If you didn't like the matrix you will not like this film there are strong similarities...I'm serious about the OSCARS as I think the film is ahead of its time, and the acting was superb.

I listened to the dude the runs the WWF talk about he didn't care for those types of movies because his job kept hismind working overtime as it was, let alone watch a movie that requires so much involvement. I tend to agree with him.
That's why I like Airplane, The Naked Gun, Blazing Saddles, Forrest Gump, etc. Just slap happy, tongue in cheek comedy. Low level thought, high level laughter. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! LOL!!!!
Laughing is good! Work is way to effing serious at times.
And Idon't do well with movie watching anymore. Especially the newer ones. They tend be way to political for their plot substance. If you can call the movie actually having a plot.
But I did manage to stay tuned in on James Bond riding the Beemer with the cute Asian MILF on the back & gas tank being aired by BBC America! That was a nice looking Beemer. MILF wasn't bad either.
And speaking of MILF's on BBC America, did you see the season finale of Dr Who? The red head was looking HOT in her personal interview.
I mean HOT!!! I know PW's tongue was wagging for this chick. Wagging for shagging.

I don't think it is just your tongues do the wagging - naughty things you
I like a good comedy too but most of those you list are "old" films and they don't even make comedies as good as them anymore. I want to see The Men who Stare at Goats and will get around to doing so eventually. Probably end up buying the DVD when it's about £5 lol
I love O Brother Where Art Thou (and, no, there isn't a George Clooney theme going on here as he just ISN'T my type of guy !!) The music is good, the humour is there and it is a good, easy story but, I also think, a bit of a "love it or hate it" film although everyone I know who has seen it loves it.
Ronin was on TV last night but too late for me to watch all of it, good film, I've still got the video of it LOL Almost as good as Leon. Attica is very good and based on a true story.
Blimey you two I could go on forever The Great Escape, Bullitt, Papillon, Towering Inferno, The Getaway, The Thomas Crown Affair - now if you're starting to see a theme here you'd be right - mmm mmmmmmmmm
He said "I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth." - the thinking of my type of man amongst a few other things LOL

Other than his eyes and love of biking, for me it's his attitude, he was a man who seemed capable of dealing with anything. Made something of himself and yet didn't forget where he came from, would still visit the reform school he ended up in.
He said "I live for myself and I answer to nobody." and yet later on was quoted as saying "I just want the brass ring and the pine trees and my kids and the green grass. I want to get rich and fat and watch my kids grow." The "watching my kids grow...." part show that he had another side to the "I don't care" attitude.
So all in all a bit of a mystery, unpredictable, hardman, hard body and, yes, I am sitting here drooling at the thought LMAO

Honestly, PW, I swear you have a one track mind
Wouldn't it have been better if he'd created silent, gorgeous wimmins ? lol
Forgot to say, Guns bought the DVD for me and we watched it Sunday, it was enjoyable but not as funny as the cover would have you believe which is why I don't go by the covers lol It had it's moments and it certainly does make you query the thought processes of the government.
Still think the best film Clooney has done is O Brother Where Art Thou

.No arguments there I bought the DVD..its one of those movies where all the characters are perfect and it just gels...It was my first awareness that Clooney is actually a natural very funny guy.
