www.4HD.net supporting Veterans in the UK and USA.
As our various governments seem to think that getting killed or injured for your Country is not a priority issue, we at 4HD.net have grabbed the bull by the horns and here is what we are doing.
We are raising funds for Veterans Charities with every order you place as we donate a percentage of the profit to charity.
In addition, through Guns affilliation with the Royal British Legion Riders, we aim to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal which helps the Royal British Legion fund the support and rehabilitation of current serving and veteran members of the British Armed Forces.
We are also very keen to get involved with Help For Heroes whose help is invaluable to a great many ex-servicemen and women injured in the line of duty. So please show your support for our Troops and when the time comes, buy that poppy, it really can make a difference.
To find out more about the Royal British Legion and the poppy appeal, please take a look at www.poppy.org

Thanks

Well it is 17:35 on Sunday 25th July 2010 and after 4 months and many false starts I am finally ready to take John's Harley back to him.

Here's a little list of what has been done

Engine - strip out engine and rebuild with S&S Super sidewinder 116 ci hot set up kit
Ignition - Crane HI4-TC set to single fire, kuryakyn ignition jewels, new spiral core leads and high performance plugs
Rectifier - Crane Fireball rectifier with built in trickle charger
Exhaust - Vance & Hines short shots
Tins - remove stock tins and replace with wide glide tins
Gas tank - FXDL instrument cluster modified to take the new LED idiot light panel, Tacho fitted, new mounting kit designed and manufactured by yours truly, custom machined instrument spacer rings (what a bastard they were, machined from a bar of solid billet then diamond wire cut to a 2 degree slope) New fuel sender unit, new fuel gauge, new pingel hi flo petcock, custom made leather tank panel.
Front end - New Ultima inverted 58mm forks and triple trees (2" over stock), PM billet brake mount, new jaybrake 4 pot billet caliper, BF Goodrige braided hoses, custom brake rotor spacer, Maltese cross LED Turnsignals, New 5 3/4" Bates style headlight, New Avon Venom X front tyre, new maltese cross mirrors
Back end - Custom made rear light mount and plate holder, custom LED Maltese Cross turn signals, Custom Fat Bob stop/tail light, reposition fender mounts and seat mount

New Yuasa 350 CCA battery, billet isolater riders foot rests, complete valet including hand polishing all the crankcases, primary case, transmission and engine block
Hand wash, cut paintwork with Farecla compounds coarse, medium, fine, ultrafine, finishing compound, hand glaze and final polish.

PHEW, time to take it home to it's owner who I hope will be very happy indeed

I have told John that it needs a Mikuni 45mm carb and a supertrapp 2 into 1 exhaust to make it run properly but that is a future project.

I'll post pictures when I get 5 seconds to myself  Cheesy Now I am off to spend some time with my ever patient wife
